3-epi-25-Hydroxyvitamin D3is also known as 3-epi-25(OH)D3. It is a metabolite of vitamin D3formed in the liver. 3-epi-25(OH)D3is used as a biomarker to determine the status of vitamin D in the body. It can be also employed as an analytical standard to measure the concentration of 3-epi-25(OH)D3molecules in human serum.
