Protein Function
Protein tyrosine-protein phosphatase required for T-cell activation through the antigen receptor. Acts as a positive regulator of T-cell coactivation upon binding to DPP4. The first PTPase domain has enzymatic activity, while the second one seems to affect the substrate specificity of the first one. Upon T-cell activation, recruits and dephosphorylates SKAP1 and FYN.

C57BL/6 mouse spleen cells were stained with CD3 Rat mAb (FITC) (Ab185406) and either Rat IgG Isotype Control Antibody (Biotin) (Ab180310; Left panel) or CD45R Rat mAb (Ab094928; Right panel) at 0.5 μg/mL. Two-color flow cytometric dot plots showing the correlated expression of CD3 versus CD45R (or Isotype control staining) were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of viable mononuclear cells.
