Overview

Erythromycin-d3 is a deuterated form of Erythromycin. Erythromycin is produced by actinomycetes and is a macrolide antibiotic (antibiotic), renowned for its broad antibacterial activity. Its mechanism of action is to bind to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, by preventing transpeptidation and/or translocation reactions, to inhibit RNA-dependent protein (RNA-dependent protein synthesis) synthesis, while not affecting nucleic acid synthesis. Erythromycin has demonstrated anti-tumor and neuroprotective properties in various studies.
