Efficacy and Mechanism of Action

Tripeptide-3 (sequence: beta-Ala-Pro-Dab-NHBn-2-Acetate), also known as dipeptide diaminobutyryl benzylamide diacetate or SYN®-AKE, mimics the action of waglerin-1, a peptide found in venom. V snake Tropidolaemus wagleri. Tripeptide-3 acts on the postsynaptic membrane and is a reversible antagonist of acetylcholine receptor.
