This is a hydrazide-activated biotinylation reagent used to label glycoproteins, carbohydrate-containing compounds that have oxidizable sugars or aldehydes. Hydrazine moiety reacts with an aldehyde to form semi-permanent hydrazone bonds. The extended spacer arm helps to minimize steric hindrance.
