Overview

Dodecylphosphocholine is a structural analog of lauroyl lysophosphatidylcholine that is more stable to hydrolytic degradation.
Dodecylphosphocholine is often used as a detergent for membrane protein solubilization and purification.It has been shown to improve paracellular permeability of hydrophilic compounds by modulating the tight junctions. This may have implications on its use for oral or nasal drug delivery.
