The level of pollen viability directly affects the processes of pollination and fertilization and is closely related to plant yield. By measuring pollen viability, we can understand pollen fertility and determine the morphological and physiological characteristics of sterile pollen. Pollen contains peroxidase; pollen with high viability also exhibits high peroxidase activity. Peroxidase forms a complex with oxidizing agents (such as hydrogen peroxide), which activates the hydrogen peroxide within this complex, thereby enabling the oxidation of phenolic compounds. Based on the resulting color change, pollen viability can be assessed. This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures or other purposes.
