Overview

This product is a water-based siliconizing agent, specifically designed for the siliconization treatment of glass tubes (blood collection tubes). It can be used in conjunction with a coupling agent or independently. While shielding the hydroxyl groups on the glass surface and preventing blood from adhering to the tube wall, it effectively masks burrs on the inner wall of the tube, avoiding hemolysis caused by burrs puncturing blood cells, thereby ensuring the integrity of the blood sample. It is suitable for the field of medical blood collection tube preparation.
This product is a yellow or brownish-yellow oily viscous transparent liquid with a slight odor. Its main component is a polysiloxane-polyalkoxy ether copolymer.
Function
1. After siliconization treatment, the properties of the tube wall can closely resemble those of a vascular wall, effectively preserving the original characteristics of the blood and preventing blood components from being altered by container influence, ensuring the accuracy of test results.
After the inner wall of the tube is treated with this siliconizing agent, a uniform water-based protective film forms, significantly reducing the adhesion of blood cells to the inner wall and completely eliminating blood adhesion to the tube wall.
2. It optimizes the inner wall environment of the tube, promoting full contact between the blood and other additives in the blood collection tube (such as coagulants, anticoagulants, etc.), helping the additives to function effectively and improving clinical testing efficiency.
3. Core protective function: Shields hydroxyl groups on the glass surface and masks burrs on the inner wall of the tube, preventing burrs from puncturing blood cells and causing hemolysis, thus ensuring the integrity of the blood sample.
Usage and Dosage
Dissolve in purified water or 95% ethanol to prepare a solution with a concentration of 1.5%-2%. Evenly spray onto the inner walls of the tubes or reagent bottles, and dry with hot air at 50°C-70°C until completely dry.
Precautions
  1. Store this product sealed at room temperature. If the temperature falls below 5°C, it will solidify; it can be dissolved by heating in a water bath before use.
  2. This product is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and environmentally friendly. Even so, for your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
  3. This product is not classified as a dangerous good. Keep it sealed and protected from moisture.
