Bromophenol Blue aqueous solution (2%) is a commonly used pH indicator and electrophoresis tracking dye in molecular biology. The color transition range of Bromophenol Blue is pH 3.0–4.6, changing from yellow to bluish-purple.
This product is a high-concentration dye stock solution, primarily used as a tracking dye in agarose gel electrophoresis and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to monitor the migration position of nucleic acids and proteins during electrophoresis, and to track the progress of the run. It can also be used as an acid-base indicator in physicochemical titration experiments.
Note: This product is an irritant; wear gloves during handling and avoid contact with eyes, skin, and mucous membranes.
