概要
チオール官能基化メトキシルポリエチレングリコール、PEGチオール（mPEG-SH）は単官能性PEG誘導体であり、タンパク質、ペプチド、その他の材料の修飾に使用できる。また、チオール基は金表面への親和性が高く、金ナノ粒子や金薄膜の修飾に広く用いられている。PEG化によって、ペプチドやタンパク質の溶解性と安定性を高め、免疫原性を低下させることができる。また、修飾表面への荷電分子の非特異的結合を抑制することもできる。
