Chemically Defined Lipid Concentrate is a concentrated lipid emulsion. As a lipid supplement for cell culture, it can be used to reduce or replace the amount of fetal bovine serum (FBS) added to the culture medium. It is suitable for the growth and maintenance of CHO cells, hybridoma cells, and insect cells, as well as for monoclonal antibody production by hybridomas and viral expression in insect cells.

Instructions for Use

Chemically Defined Lipid Concentrate is supplied as a sterile product and can be used directly. This product has been tested in multiple cell lines in suspension culture, with dilution ranges from 1:100 to 1:1000 (as shown in the table below).

Precautions

1.Minimize exposure to air, as this product contains unsaturated fatty acids that may be oxidized upon prolonged exposure to air. After opening, it is recommended to aliquot for storage. After aliquoting, leave as little headspace as possible, or fill with inert gas. Protect from freezing.

2.This product contains surfactants, and therefore may not be suitable for the growth of certain adherent cell lines. Additionally, adding this product to medium containing surfactants may cause cytotoxicity.

3.This product is an emulsion. Its appearance may range from transparent to milky suspension; both are acceptable for use.

4.This product is provided sterile. Please use aseptic techniques when handling. If contamination occurs during use, filtration sterilization is not recommended, as the active emulsified components may be removed by the filter.

5.For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves when handling.
