Overview
This kit employs an immunoturbidimetric method for the determination of complement C3 content. The complement C3 antigen in the sample binds to the specific anti-complement C3 antibody in solution, forming insoluble immune complexes, which result in an increase in turbidity of the reaction system. The rate of turbidity change is monitored at 340 nm. The increase in absorbance is proportional to the complement C3 content in the sample, and the concentration can be precisely quantified by referencing a standard curve.
