Panoramica
Diaphorase (NADPH), also named Old Yellow Enzyme (OYE) or NADPH diaphorase, is a flavin-dependent oxidoreductase non-covalently bound with FMN prosthetic group. It exhibits high catalytic preference for NADPH.This enzyme has a broad substrate spectrum. It stereoselectively reduces the carbon-carbon double bonds of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones, and catalyzes the nitro reduction of nitroaromatics and nitroesters simultaneously, playing an important role in cellular xenobiotic detoxification pathways.It is commonly used as a color-coupling tool enzyme in NADPH-based assay systems, and also widely applied to the simulation of in vitro metabolic pathways of nitro drugs as well as the biocatalytic synthesis of chiral intermediates.
