Panoramica

Human factor XIII is cleaved with human alpha thrombin that is immobilized to a resin. The thrombin is subsequently removed via chromatography. One plasma equivalent unit (PEU) is equal to ~108 Loewy units.

Buffer composition =  0.05mM EDTA/ 50% glycerol

Extinction Coefficient (1%)=13.8

Molecular Weight = 312,000 daltons

The above protein was purified from Human plasma units that test negative for antibodies to HBc, HCV, HIV 1/2, HTLV-I/II, and non reactive for HBsAg, HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA, HBV DNA and Syphilis by FDA approved tests. Donors are screened for CJD.

If diluting, use physiologic buffer such as TBS containing 0.5mM EDTA.
