Preparation, activity determination and application of thin-layer plates
·Published ·Updated
Summary
Thin layer chromatography (TLC) is mainly used in the study of chemical composition of natural medicines for the pre-testing of chemical components, identification of chemical components and exploring the conditions of column separation. The identification of chemical components of herbal medicines by thin-layer chromatography can be carried out in a targeted manner according to the nature of each type of components and the familiar conditions. Because some impurities can be separated after unfolding on the thin layer, with high selectivity, it can make the pre-test results more reliable, and not only the type of components can be known by color development, but also the number of main components and their polarity can be initially understood.
