GRADE & PURITY Bioactive ? Bioactive grade — verified to retain biological activity in functional assays. Use when the molecule must be functionally active, not just pure. ActiBioPure™ ? ActiBioPure™ — Aladdin's premier line for bioactive and recombinant products. Use when both high purity and preserved biological activity are required. Native ? Native grade — protein/biomolecule in its natural (non-recombinant, non-denatured) form. Use when native structure and activity are required. High Performance ? High-performance grade with optimized purity and performance characteristics. Use for sensitive analyses where ordinary grades fall short. ≥95%(SDS-PAGE) See COA; from Human Pleural Effusion

Overview

CRP is an acute-phase reactive protein synthesized by the liver, which can react with the C-polysaccharide of Streptococcus pneumoniae. Its main biological function is to activate the complement system and mononuclear phagocyte system by binding to ligands (phosphorylcholine on apoptotic or necrotic cells, or invading bacteria, fungi, parasites, etc.), thereby clearing pathogens or pathological cells carrying such ligands. When the body suffers from infection, tissue damage or inflammatory diseases, the level of CRP increases rapidly, even by thousands of times; after the disease is cured, its content drops sharply. Therefore, CRP detection can provide valuable information for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of inflammatory processes and related diseases.
