Panoramica
Silicon is an important beneficial nutrient element for plants and is even physiologically essential for plants such as rice, sugarcane, and horsetail. The determination of silicon content is a key indicator for evaluating plant silicon nutritional status and assessing soil silicon supply capacity. This product is suitable for detecting biological samples such as plant tissues. In this assay kit, plant samples are mixed with NaOH solution and heated in a boiling water bath for one hour to dissolve amorphous SiO₂. After neutralizing the leachate with acid, the silicon content is measured using the silicon-molybdenum blue colorimetry method.
