Protective Agent For Primary Cell consists of Component A and Component B. When the two components are used in combination during the isolation and culture of primary cells, they can effectively prevent and remedy contamination of primary cells by multiple drug‑resistant bacteria, mycoplasmas, chlamydiae and other pathogenic microorganisms.
Primary cell culture refers to the immediate culture of cells, tissues or organs excised directly from an organism. During primary‑cell isolation, samples are highly prone to carrying pathogenic microorganisms from the donor organism or becoming contaminated by environmental microbes. Typical pathological manifestations include turbid culture medium, decreased pH, intracellular granular inclusions in cells, cell rounding, increased cell detachment, persistent non‑washable tiny dark spots in intercellular spaces, or motile tiny dark spots among cells.

Instructions for Use:
1. The recommended dilution ratio of Protective Agent A and Protective Agent B to culture medium is 1:1000. Add them separately to the cell suspension for sub‑culturing into divided flasks.
Example: Add 10 μL of Protective Agent A and 10 μL of Protective Agent B respectively into 10 mL culture medium.
2. Add Protective Agent A and B proportionally during medium change for primary cells. It can be used long‑term to prevent and address contamination of primary cells caused by various pathogenic microorganisms.
Suspension cells: For suspension cell culture before reaching saturated density, when nutrients in the medium can no longer meet cellular nutritional requirements, half‑volume medium exchange should be performed only. Add Protective Agent A and B proportionally according to the volume of fresh medium added.
Adherent cells: Tissue‑derived cells treated with digestive solution shall be thoroughly rinsed to remove digestive solution as much as possible. Seed cells at a slightly higher seeding density, and add Protective Agent A and B proportionally into complete culture medium.
Precautions:
1. This product shall not be mixed with antibiotics other than penicillin‑streptomycin double‑antibiotic.
2. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
3. This reagent is for research use only.
