Panoramica

Insulin is a protein hormone secreted by pancreatic β‑cells in response to stimulation by endogenous or exogenous substances such as glucose and glucagon. It regulates cellular uptake, utilization, and storage of glucose, amino acids, and fatty acids, and inhibits the breakdown of glycogen, protein, and fat.

Alddin’s recombinant human insulin is produced by fermentation of an E. coli strain that efficiently expresses the human insulin gene. It possesses the same structure and function as natural insulin, regulating glucose metabolism, promoting glucose uptake and utilization in the liver, skeletal muscle, and adipose tissue, facilitating the conversion of glucose into glycogen stored in muscle and liver, and inhibiting gluconeogenesis.
