Panoramica
Soil sucrase (S-SC) hydrolyzes sucrose into corresponding monosaccharides for uptake by organisms. The products of its enzymatic reaction are closely related to soil organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus content, microbial population, and soil respiration intensity, making it an important indicator for assessing soil fertility. This kit provides a simple, convenient, and rapid method for detecting sucrase activity, suitable for soil samples. The principle is based on S-SC catalyzing the degradation of sucrose to produce reducing sugars, which then react with 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid to form a reddish-brown amino compound. This compound exhibits characteristic light absorption at 540 nm, and within a certain range, the rate of increase in absorbance at 540 nm is proportional to S-SC activity.
