Panoramica

Nucleic acids are a component of soil organic phosphorus. Under the action of nucleases, nucleic acids undergo multi-step decomposition and ultimately release inorganic phosphorus, and the hydrolysis products serve as one of the phosphorus sources for plants. The activity of soil nucleases is determined by measuring the activity of soil nucleotidases. Soil nucleotidases hydrolyze ribonucleotides to produce inorganic phosphorus and other substances. In an acidic environment, inorganic phosphorus reacts with ammonium molybdate to form a blue complex. The soil nuclease activity is calculated by measuring the rate of formation of this colored product at 700 nm.
