Product application: For the cultivation of various fastidious microorganisms, especially Brucella.
Preparation method: Weigh 39.0 g of this product, dissolve in 1 L of distilled or deionized water, heat to boiling until completely dissolved. Dispense into suitable containers and autoclave at 116°C for 30 minutes. After sterilization, shake well to prevent agar from settling and solidifying at the bottom of the container, then set aside for use. If preparing blood agar plates, after sterilization cool to 50–55°C, add 5% pre-warmed defibrinated sheep blood under aseptic conditions, mix gently, and pour into plates.
