Overview

Alexander stain is a plant pollen stain commonly used for nuclear staining. For plant pollen, it produces a purplish-red color upon staining. Alexander's stain primarily consists of malachite green, acid fuchsin, phenol, etc., has an acidic pH, and is an excellent staining agent for plant pollen grains.

Operating Steps (For Reference Only)

1. Take a fresh flower and carefully remove the petals and pistils.

2. Place the pollen material on a glass slide and add 2-3 drops of the staining solution.

3. Mix thoroughly, immediately cover with a coverslip, and stain for 5-10 hours.

4. Absorb excess liquid and observe under the microscope.

1. Microscopic observation should be performed immediately after staining.

2. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
