Overview

BIS-Tris is an inert, zwitterionic buffer that exhibits only a very small shift in dissociation constant with respect to temperature. Suitable for fractionation of hemoglobin. The useful pH range for the buffer is 5.8-7.2. Has a pKa of 6.5 at 25°C.
