Candida Clearing Agent (500×) is a next‑generation reagent against candida contamination. It also delivers inhibitory effects on common fungal contaminants including moulds and yeasts. It is mainly adopted to eradicate Candida‑related contamination in cultured cells, serum and culture media. Formulated with innovative anti‑fungal ingredients, it suppresses candida proliferation within 2‑3 days and eliminates candida contamination in roughly one week.
Mechanism of Action: This eliminator specifically disrupts the structure of fungal cell walls. It destroys the inherent shape and structural integrity of fungal cells, and then disturbs normal metabolism, ion exchange and osmotic pressure of Candida species. Consequently, cultured cells get rid of candida contamination and maintain healthy growth.
Instructions for Use:
1. Perform brief centrifugation of the reagent vial upon receipt before storage.
2. Rinse the cell monolayer with PBS 3‑5 times; pour off the rinse solution in a consistent direction every time.
3. Dilute Candida Eliminator with complete culture medium at the recommended dilution ratio of 1:500, then incubate cells under routine culture conditions.
4. Treat cells as described in Step 3 for 3‑6 cycles.
Precautions:
1. Store the reagent in aliquot portions and prepare the working‑solution right before use.
2. Do not mix this product with antibiotics, as antagonistic effects exist between the reagent and antibiotics.
3. In the event of severe fungal contamination, apply the reagent at a 1:200 dilution. Once contamination is well‑controlled, adjust the dilution to 1:500‑800 and carry out another 2‑3 treatments.
4. Since this is a polypeptide‑based product, certain cell lines may exhibit sensitivity. If so, treat cells with the reagent for two days, then continue culturing in reagent‑free medium for 1‑2 days. Repeat the cycle for 3‑5 rounds.
