Principle

It is indicated for the examination of patients with pinworms.

1. Methodology

(1) Transparent adhesive paper method: take a narrow piece of glass adhesive paper, paste it on a clean slide for spare. When checking, lift up the adhesive paper, the adhesive side outward, the adhesive surface fully pasted perianal skin folds, and then remove the adhesive paper flat on the slide, with a low magnification microscopy.

(2) cotton swab swab method: cotton swabs placed in a test tube containing saline, squeeze too much saline, wipe in the perianal area of the examinee, and then the swabs will be wiped in a test tube containing saline stirred sufficiently, lift the swabs in the inner wall of the test tube to squeeze out the water and then discarded, the test tube is left to stand for 10 minutes or after centrifugation, decanting the upper liquid, and then take the sediment on the slide for microscopic examination.
