(1) There was a round or oval ulcer on the mucosal surface of the lesser curvature of the stomach near the pylorus. The ulcer was deep, less than 2 cm in diameter, with neat margins and a flat base, and the ulcer surface was covered with a small amount of gray-yellow exudate in some specimens. The surrounding mucosal folds were arranged in a radial pattern.
(2) The longitudinal section of the ulcer showed that the mucosal layer, submucosal layer and muscular layer had been completely destroyed and replaced by grayish-white fibrous tissue (scar), and the muscular layer at the edge of the ulcer was adherent to the muscular layer of the mucosa due to the contraction of the scar.
2. Tissue section
(1) The depression of the tissue is the base of the ulcer, and the vertical parts on both sides are the edges of the ulcer.
(2) The ulcer can be divided into four layers from shallow to deep: exudate layer - a small amount of inflammatory exudate (fibrin, neutral leukocytes, etc.); necrotic layer - the structure is unclear and stained with reddish color; granulation tissue layer; scar layer - in which there are small arteries with thickened walls, narrowed lumens, or thrombus mechanization (occlusive endarteritis). ).
1. Localized tissue of the gastric mucosa is depressed and defective;
2. a typical four-layered structure is seen at its base from top to bottom.
