Technical route and basic fabrication process of tissue microarray preparation

Summary

Tissue microarrays are made by punching holes with a fine needle in a tissue microarray machine, collecting tens to hundreds of small cylindrical tissues (tissue cores) from a large number of tissue wax blocks (known as donor wax blocks), and arranging them neatly in another empty white wax block (known as recipient wax blocks). The tissue core is then sliced and transferred to a slide to make a tissue microarray.
