Operation method
Morphological observation experiments on crackhead tapeworms
Principle
Adult broad-jointed tapeworms (Diphyllobothrium latum) parasitize mainly canine carnivores, but also humans, and the larvae of Schizothoracinae parasitize a variety of fish. The Schizothoracic tapeworms that parasitize humans are of the genera Diphyllobothrium and Schizothoracinae, which are basically similar in morphology and life history, and the adults of Diphyllobothrium latum parasitize mainly cats and occasionally humans. The adult broad-jointed Schizothoracic tapeworm mainly parasitizes dogs and bears, and humans can also serve as its second intermediate host. The mode of infection is caused by the direct invasion of Schizothoracic tapeworms from wounds or by accidental ingestion of Schizothoracic tapeworm proto-caeca. Move I. Self-observation For more product details, please visit Aladdin Scientific website.
Broad-jointed Schizothoracic tapeworm egg slide specimen: the egg is subelliptical, light grayish-brown, with an egg cap and a slightly thicker shell containing an embryo just beginning to develop. Size is 55-76 x 41-56 micrometers.
II. Demonstration
1. Schizothoracic cestode, adult specimen: body length up to about 1 m, head segments tiny, dorsal and ventral surfaces each with a longitudinal sucking groove, neck segments elongated.
2. Mature segment: testes are vesicle-shaped with about several hundred, ovaries are bilobed, symmetrical, and centered on the ventral surface of the posterior part of the segment, and the uterus is situated in the middle of the segment as a spiral coil, closely overlapping.
3. Schizothoracic larvae: elongate, ca. 300 × 0.1-12.0 mm, slightly larger anterior end of the body, with cephalic segments similar to those of the adult, the body is not segmented but is transversely striated.
4. Eggs of Schizosaccharomyces cerevisiae: subovoid, slightly pointed at both ends, light gray-brown, with egg cover, egg intact thin, with containing an egg cell and many yolk cells.
5. Broad-jointed Schizothoracic tapeworm adult specimen: more or less the same as the Monk's Schizothoracic tapeworm, but the body is larger, can be up to 10 meters long, the uterus of the disk showing rosette-like.
