Metaphosphate can be used as:
A catalyst that combines with InCl3 through a ring β- The reaction of diketones and aldehydes to synthesize 1,8-dioxoalkoxyanthracene derivatives.
A phosphate precursor used for synthesizing antimony phosphate (SbPO4) by reacting with metallic antimony at high temperatures.
