Overview

Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF, FGF2 or FGF-β) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family. bFGF is a kind of single-chain polypeptide growth factor, which plays an important role in promoting cell proliferation. It can also inhibit cell apoptosis, accelerate wound healing and induce blood vessel regeneration. In many cell types, such as mesoderm and neuroectoderm, bFGF is also very effective in inducing DNA synthesis. OsrhbFGF is expressed by rice endosperm cells and purified by gene recombination technology.
