Overview

Silver cyanate is a chemosterilant in adult house flies. It is also used as a reagent to prepare 1-(3-thianyl)uracil and 9-(3-thianyl)adenine derivatives, which has potential anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and antitumour activity. It is used as a silver plating solution in the electroplating process.
