RNA funzionale che agisce come coattivatore trascrizionale che potenzia selettivamente la transattivazione mediata dai recettori steroidei in modo indipendente dal ligando attraverso un meccanismo che coinvolge il dominio modulante N-terminale (AF-1) dei recettori steroidei. Media anche la coattivazione trascrizionale dei recettori steroidei in modo ligando-dipendente attraverso il dominio legante gli steroidi (AF-2). Aumenta la proliferazione e la differenziazione cellulare e promuove l'apoptosi in vivo. Può svolgere un ruolo nella tumorigenesi.
