Alkaline protease is a proteolytic enzyme produced from Bacillus licheniformis strains bred by protoplast mutagenesis, via submerged fermentation, extraction and purification. It is widely used in leather processing, silk degumming, food, medical, brewing and other industries.
The active component of alkaline protease is a serine endo-alkaline protease, which hydrolyzes peptide bonds in protein molecules to produce polypeptides or amino acids. It can also catalyze the synthesis of polypeptides in organic solvents.
Alkaline protease is a natural enzyme preparation and harmless to humans. However, it may cause allergies in some sensitive individuals, and prolonged contact may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Protective equipment such as masks and goggles is recommended during handling.
This product is biologically active; high temperature, strong acids and strong alkalis cause inactivation. During transportation and storage, liquid enzymes shall be protected from direct sunlight, and solid enzymes from sun exposure and rain. Store in a clean, cool and dry warehouse.
Comprehensive hazard, handling, storage, and regulatory compliance document.
