My samples are peripheral blood and alveolar lavage fluid from mice, how can I preserve the samples for the maximum amount of time after I remove them?


Flow experiments are recommended to be done with fresh cells. If the situation is special on your side, we can only suggest you to fix the prepared single cell suspension with 4% paraformaldehyde for 30min, then wash it twice with PBS, save it in cell staining buffer (can be replaced by 1 % BSA in PBS), store it at 4°C, and test it as soon as possible after the reagents are received.
