Overview
Ham's F-12K medium is a Kaighn's modification of Ham's F‑12 Nutrient Mixture. Based on Ham's F‑12, it features increased concentrations of amino acids and pyruvate, reduced glucose content, and modified salt composition and concentrations (Konigsbergs). Ham's F‑12K was originally designed for culturing primary human hepatocytes as well as differentiated rat and chicken cells.
This product contains multiple components required for cell culture, including amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, etc.; however, it contains no proteins, lipids, or any growth factors. Therefore, this product must be used with serum or serum‑free supplements.
