Experiments on the determination of afferent impulses in the toad shuttle
Principle
The muscle shuttle is a special shuttle receptor device for skeletal muscle to feel the pulling stimulus, a few millimeters long, the outer layer is a connective tissue capsule, the whole muscle shuttle attached to the extraclavicular muscle fibers next to the shuttle, and its parallel arrangement in parallel relationship. When the muscle spindle is pulled, the spindle receptors become excited and impulses are transmitted along the afferent nerves to the central nervous system. Pulling on the muscle may record the release of afferent impulses from the myoclonic receptors on the afferent nerves. Move 1. 2. Click on the weight and drag it until the small metal hook is released, the weight is suspended from the hook and the muscle is pulled. Click on the weight on the small metal hook and drag it to the board to release it, the weight is placed on the board to stop pulling the muscle.
3. Simulation of three-channel recorder: the first channel to record the muscle shuttle afferent impulses, the second channel to record the frequency of the muscle shuttle afferent impulses issued, and the third channel to record the experimental items labeled. Simulation recorder panel set sensitivity, displacement, paper speed, the panel set digital display box, respectively, display recorder first channel sensitivity, afferent impulse potential amplitude, time and so on.
4. Press the measurement button to stop recording, the recorder is in the measurement state, the uppermost display box shows the number of impulses, the mouse clicks once on the recording paper, and then moves a certain distance and clicks again, the display box showing the number of impulses will show the number of impulses issued by the muscle shuttle within the range of the two clicks.
