Materials and Instruments
Solutions to be sterilized Move 1. Scrub the hood and packing materials. Caveat The syringe can be repeatedly filled with solution several times. When filling, place the filter back into the lower half of the sterile package, separate it from the syringe, fill the syringe again, and attach it to the filter. 2. Fill syringe with solution to be sterilized.
3 . Open the lid of the collection container.
4 . Open the packaging of the filter and connect it to the tip of the syringe, using the lower half of the packaging to assimilate the sterilized filter when connecting.
5. Drain the solution through the filter into the collection container, using only gentle pressure.
6 . Close the collection container.
7. Discard the syringe and filter.
