Operation method
Live Microfilariae Concentration Assay Move Add distilled water to half of the centrifuge tube, add 10-12 drops of peripheral blood, mix with saline, centrifuge (3,000 rpm) for 3 minutes to settle, and take the sediment for microscopic examination. Or take 1 ml of venous blood, put it in a test tube containing 0.1 ml of 3.8% sodium citrate, shake well, add 9 ml of water, wait until the red blood cells are lysed, then centrifuge for 2 minutes, pour off the supernatant, add water and centrifuge again, and take the sediment for microscopic examination. According to the activity pattern of microfilariae, the time of blood collection should be taken from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the next morning.
