β-NETA is a potent and noncompetitive choline acetyltransferase (ChA; IC 50 =76 μM) and cholinesterase (ChE; IC 50 =40 μM) inhibitor. β-NETA weakly inhibits acetylcholinesterase ( AChE ; IC 50 =1 mM) .
