Overview

General description

Colorless liquid, purified by filtration through a 0.22 μm membrane. The composition is 1 M Tris base; pH 6.8, 25°C. pH varies with temperature; please use at room temperature. Generally, the pH decreases by 0.03 for every 1°C increase in temperature. Precipitation may occur if the buffer is stored at low temperatures; it can be dissolved by shaking or heating. This is one of the most commonly used buffer solutions in the laboratory and can be used for various routine biochemical and molecular biology experiments.
