Visão geral
Ascorbic Acid Oxidase (AAO) is a glycoprotein located in the plant cell wall and belongs to the "blue copper oxidase" family. Ascorbic acid (AsA) and AAO within the cell wall are closely associated with cell wall metabolism and growth. The monodehydroascorbic acid (MDHA) formed by AAO oxidation of AsA can be reduced via cytochrome b on the plasma membrane. The transmembrane transport of electrons in this process promotes cell growth. This kit provides a straightforward detection method for measuring AAO activity in biological samples, such as plant tissues. AAO directly oxidizes AsA, and its activity can be calculated by determining the amount of AsA oxidized.
