Overview

Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) is a widely used basal medium capable of supporting the growth of many types of mammalian cells. Cells successfully cultured in DMEM include primary cells such as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells, as well as cell lines including HeLa, 293, Cos‑7, and PC‑12. We offer a variety of DMEM modifications suitable for a broad range of cell culture applications. DMEM contains no proteins, lipids, or growth factors. Therefore, it requires supplementation with nutrients, typically with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS). DMEM utilizes a sodium bicarbonate buffering system (3.7 g/L) and thus requires a 5–10% CO₂ atmosphere to maintain physiological pH. Precautions ① This product has been sterilized by filtration. Aseptic techniques must be observed during handling to prevent contamination. ② To maintain optimal performance, avoid freeze‑thaw cycles. ③ This product is intended for research or further study purposes only; it is not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
