Aladdin TTC is a redox indicator with a standard oxidation-reduction potential of 80 mV. It forms a colorless solution when dissolved in water, and upon reduction, it produces red, water-insoluble triphenylformazan. This compound is relatively stable and not easily oxidized. Therefore, TTC is widely used as a hydrogen acceptor in enzymatic studies. The amount of TTC reduction reflects dehydrogenase activity, thereby serving as an indicator for assessing the viability of plant roots or pollen. This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures or other purposes.
