Proteose Peptone is a special peptone prepared from protein mixtures. This product contains proteose intermediates, which are obtained through precisely controlled production conditions. Meanwhile, the product is rich in high-molecular-weight peptides, with high contents of alanine, aspartic acid, glycine and phenylalanine, as well as high levels of B-complex vitamins, pantothenic acid and riboflavin. Proteose peptone is specially used in media for Corynebacterium diphtheriae toxin production, including the electrode reaction identification of toxigenic strains. The medium is also suitable for toxin production by Staphylococcus, Clostridium and Salmonella. Media containing this peptone can provide abundant nutrients for the growth of various microorganisms, such as Neisseria, Staphylococcus, Haemophilus, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Corynebacterium, Histoplasma and others. This peptone can also be used in the production of pertussis vaccines and measles vaccines.
Directions for Use:
As a culture medium raw material, fully dissolve it and use after sterilization.
