3 μg/lane of Recombinant Human SRP14 Protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and non-reducing (N) conditions and visualized by Coomassie® Blue staining, showing a band at 18.6 kDa under reducing conditions and 19.0 & 36.9 kDa under non-reducing conditions.
The two crystal structures of the heterodimer SRP9/14 either bind to the 5' domain or to the construct containing the 5' and 3' domains. SRP9/14 is closely integrated with the conservative core of the 5' domain, which forms a U-shaped turn connecting two spiral stacks. The reversible docking combined with the weaker 3' domain may be functionally important in the translation regulation mechanism (PubMed:11089964).
