Descripción general

ODQ is a selective and potent GCS (soluble guanylyl cyclase, sGC) inhibitor that binds competitively with nitric oxide. The GCS (sGC) serves as a receptor for nitric oxide, which is involved in the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). In prostate cancer cell studies, ODQ induced caspase-3, enhanced cell death, and blocked cell migration. Inhibition of GCS (sGC) through ODQ results in blocking the actions of nitric oxide on vascular and platelet smooth muscle.
A selective and potent sGC (soluble guanylyl cyclase) inhibitor.
