Mecanismos bioquímicos y fisiológicos
Selective calpain inhibitor. Strongly inhibits calpain I (Ki= 0.2 nM) and II but does not inhibit papain, trypsin and cathepsin L (Ki= 6μM). Increases secretion of amyoidβ-protein (Aβ) 42, Aβ40 and Aβ42 ratio.
