Amino-PEG6-carboxylic Acid is a novel amino acid that can be manipulated, modified, and used like most other amino acids. The single molecular weight PEG spacer arms between the terminal amine and the terminal carboxylic acid are of exact length (25.1 Å), allowing for precise spatial control, and they are hydrophilic and non-immunogenic, imparting greater water solubility and hydrodynamic volume to target molecules.
