Apiin is one of the main components of Apium graveolens leaves and has anti-inflammatory properties. Apiin can inhibit the production of nitrite (NO) in vitro (IC50=0.08 mg/mL) and the expression of iNOS in LPS-activated J774.A1 cells (IC50=0.049 mg/mL).
